I.- INTRODUCTION.

This sabre came with the figure of R2-D2 with Pop-Up Sabre Action. Actually the sabre is very short and thick related with the scale of the figures, because it is designed to be launched using a mechanism in R2's head.

II.- ORIGINAL VARIANTS.

Original Variant Nº1
This is the only variant of this sabre that we know of.

III.- REPROS.

Repro N.1
This repro is detectable because it is painted over with green paint and if you scratch it you will expose the dark plastic underneath. In the original one the colour of the weapon is the colour of the plastic it is made of. Also, this sabre does not work with the R2 eject mechanism.

Repro N.2
This reproduction is of a better quality than the previous one. It is made of green plastic and is said to work with the mechanism. The main difference with the original is the length. The original is 38mm (1 8/16 inches) long and the repro 36.5mm (1 7/16 inches).
